How do you make your films?
My first step is getting to know my client personally and learning who they are and what is meaningful to them. Your Texas wedding video is handcrafted and detailed to your specific style. Lets meet before your wedding in San Antonio, or even Luckenbach to discuss exactly what your needs are and what is most important to you!
Where are your prices, why don’t you have them on your site?
Most couples that are shopping around aren’t necessarily the best fit for Stella Haus wedding videography. We don’t want you to choose us based on price. We want you to choose us because you love the quality and craftsmanship of our wedding videography. Please call us and we can chat on the phone, we can then we can go over our packages to see if we are a good fit for your most important day.
How do we reserve a date?
After a contract is signed and deposit of 25% made, you have successfully reserved your wedding videography date. The deposit is non-refundable and based on the cost of your total package price. Please remember, any package within the Bexar, Kerr, Kendall, and Hill Country area does not incur any extra travel cost.
Who is Stella Haus Productions and who will be shooting my wedding?
Stella Haus is owned by me, Dayna De Hoyos, lead filmmaker / Videographer. I have studied film and fine art from the age of 8 years old. I am a highly trained fine artist and filmmaker. I work with other highly trained videographers to create compelling wedding footage. I produce all edits and films myself. In cases of death of family or severe illness of Dayna De Hoyos a trusted team will complete your production. There will NEVER be a situation in which your wedding is not fully covered.
We don’t want a production made of our wedding day, we want it very low key. What kind of lights do you use?
I have been to many weddings where the videographer is front and center. It is very distracting, and interferes with the beauty that is your special day and also inhibits the photographer from being able to do their job. The last thing you want is blaring lights interfering with the photographer! If you choose Stella Haus wedding videography, you won’t even notice that a film production is taking place. We do not use artificial lighting or large equipment. We will not be in peoples faces, we want genuine moments unadulterated by the filming. We will conference with you before the wedding to make sure there is sufficient ambient lighting.
How far will you travel, will it cost extra?
We are available for locations outside of Texas. We will provide a custom package built for your event so that once the wedding is over all expenses are paid and you can relax knowing your Texas wedding has been filmed thoroughly.
Travel is INCLUDED in all packages within a 50 mile radius of San Antonio, Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Fredericksburg, Comfort, Boerne, and Luckenbach, Texas. Over 50 miles requires an additional cost per mile. Locations over 150 miles require and additional cost for overnight accommodations. International or out of Texas travel will require more customized pricing.
How do you work with Photographers?
We make sure to develop a good relationship with your selected photographer, we call them and possibly meet them before your event. Most likely we know them and if you can’t find one you like we have many partners in the photography business who we can recommend to suit your taste. There are so many great photographers in The Bexar County, and Hill Country areas. SO many in Fredericksburg, San Marcos, Boerne, and New Braunfels. But there are a few who we absolutely love. Please see our Recommended Vendors page for a list of photographers that we recommend for your wedding. If one of these is chosen a special bonus will be added to your package by Stella Haus.
What about the music in the film? Do we get to pick it?
We want your film to represent you. So for our clients we honor their style/music preferences. We select music that is able to be purchased to use legally for your wedding film. Your wedding soundtrack will reflect your taste. We will send a questionnaire and also several websites so that you can send multiple song preferences for your soundtrack.
How long does it take to get my film?
Your Texas wedding film is guaranteed 6 months after the wedding day. Most film houses, studios, take 5-10 months.
I take a limited number of weddings per year so that each couple has my full attention and time for their special day.
Will we be able to share our film on the internet?
Your wedding video will be shareable via Youtube and Vimeo, in a private or public links. We want everyone that wants to see your beautiful wedding videos to have access if you choose.
Can you photograph the wedding?
No we can’t photograph your wedding. On the bright side we have a select group of amazing Texas wedding photographers who service, Bexar, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Boerne, the Hill Country, and many other areas who we love to work with!! If you book any of our select vendors you get an extra bonus upon booking. I’m sure we have someone that will be perfect for you taste.
What type of equipment do you use?
We use all professional grade Canon Equipment. All our lenses and bodies are very light sensitive so that we don’t have to use any external lighting. We also utilize glide cams, monopods, and tripods (during the ceremony), when necessary. We also capture sound using wireless micropones, and discreet lavaliers microphones. Your wedding toasts and vows are captured in very high quality audio. Be wary of videographers that do not record separate audio.
